So it's 2021 and hopefully Covid-19 is phasing out, we started online classes last year and quite frankly it is the best way to convey information and offers the fastest, most dramatic skill development for students. This kind of training is only offered here at Brisbane Art Classes. I urge you to try a few of our classes and meet our students if you are serious about learning to draw and paint representationally.
Starting 20th Feb and running until 19th March.

Over the holidays we visited the Queensland Art Gallery and had a lovely end of year lunch at GOMA restaurant. A particular highlight for me at the QAG was the John William Waterhouse painting 'The mystic wood'. Painted by Waterhouse towards the end of his life, it has a veritable plethora of information regarding his working process and provides great lessons to any aspiring or professional artist. The application of paint bespeaks a lifetime of experience. I particularly like the finished portraits, so brilliantly executed and exquisite in colour temperature. Whom would have thought such a rich and fascinating work to be found in Brisbane.. a real find. |
