The Introduction to Figure Drawing course is a 4 week intensive that guides the student to draw more efficiently, more structurally and gain confidence in their lines. This is a concentrated course that focuses very heavily on repetition and learning the process of setting up a successful dynamic structure for the human figure through gestural poses. The 4 Weeks Portrait Drawing course teaches students the structure of the head from profile, front on and 3/4 view. Learn how to block in the portrait, shadow shapes and convenient explanations for the features. Focuses on repetition and structure. Materials are supplied though you may bring the recommended materials list should you wish. The Painting the Portrait in Oils course uses a limited palette and is an Introduction to painting the head and mixing colours to create local values and flesh tones. For this course we just paint on paper as its really about learning principles. Recommended materials Art Spectrum yellow ochre, titanium white, ivory black and light red. Metal palette knife NEEF brushes Flat Size 8-10, Round Size 2-4, 2 Filberts size 6 and 8. Wooden palette Odorless solvent Cotton rags Easel / table easel |
